July blooms

I wish I could say these gorgeous flowers are from my garden! But they aren't, they are from the Derwen Garden Centre in Guilsfield which is quite handily located down the road from where I live. Great garden centre, cafe, gift shop and farm shop. I usually pop in at least twice a week for something or other, or just a wander. Hoping everyone is having a happy Tuesday, Jane x

Barmouth and Criccieth July

Last week we drove to the lovely North Wales coast. We had a wander around Barmouth, always a favourite! My husband had many happy holidays here when he was a boy and we never fail to visit numerous times a year. We had coffee at the newly opened Tilman hotel. Fab! Well worth popping in for coffee, a meal or a stay. We then headed up the coast to Criccieth and although cloudy, had a drive around and lunch at the fabulous Dylan's overlooking Cardigan bay. Hopefully going again tomorrow! Jane x

Valentines Day

Hello, I've not posted for a while but continued to read all those lovely blogs out there and take inspiration. My lovely Mum passed away in October last year. It was such a hard time but I was so privilaged and lucky to move home and look after her, my Dad and my sister. My Mum died peacefully in the home she loved with Dad holding one hand and me the other. My Dad is eighty five and my sister has learning disabilities and need a lot of support. But they are doing really well despite my Dad having some health problems. They were married fifty eight years and devoted to each other and to my sister and me. I'ts no hardship to have returned some of that devotion and to continue doing so.
On a much happier note, I'm going to be a Grandma! So exciting! My Mum would have been so pleased. however I've got a very funny feeling that she knew before we did.
Hope everyone has had alovely Valentines Day, Jane xxx
