Favourite places

Autumn is my new favourite season, above are some of my favourite places, Lake Vyrnwy and Berriew and the River Severn just near where I work.

Autumn walks

The above photographs were taken on one of our regular walks around Powis Castle park just outside Welshpool. I love the castle and park. It is under the care of The National Trust and is a delight to visit for both the medieaval castle and the terraced gardens. The park has two herds of deer and I love to see which bit of the park they are in. It depends on the time of year, breeding season, time of day and wether they are being fed. At the moment they are quite close and foraging amongst the bracken. I love the park at any time of year but now and leading up to Christmas is my favourite. We are so lucky to have it on the doorstep. Hope you are all enjoying autumnal walks too, Jane x

Late summer flowers and shadows in the garden. We are having some beautiful Autumn weather, really making the most of it.

Late summer walk

The above photographs were taken on a walk the other day through a Redwood Grove near where I live. They are coastal redwoods and are on the Leighton Park Estate near Welshpool. There are lovely walks through the grove and a pinetum planted with different tree species.

The walk leads to this magnificent poultry house built in 1861 for all different kinds of fowl. It's been restored by the Landmark Trust and the poultry keepers house is now a holiday cottage. The whole area is magical and peaceful, I love visiting there.

Henry Gray

Last Sunday was a very special day, the Baptism of my darling grandson, Henry Gray Pritchard. These were some of the flower arrangements we did. Surrounded by family and friends, he was such a good boy. I just wish my Mum and a good friend of mine had been there too. He is a joy. Hope everyone else had a lovely weekend, Jane x

Out and about

Some photographs from the lane that my daughter lives on. I was out walking or rather pushing my grandson and admiring the lovely views of our Mid Wales countryside. Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely late summer weather. Although as I type it's raining! Jane x
